Snap the Ball, and Your Rival’s Bones, in PS3 Madden 10

PS3 Madden 10's pulse-pounding, hard-rocking soundtrack is another element that gives the game an added kick. The past few years have seen the soundtracks becoming an integral facet of the games, and Madden is leading the pack. PS3 Madden 10's soundtrack brings the right level of intensity, as well as a great mix of newer and older songs ("older" being a relative term here, of course). Get a load of these songs, and tell me you're not sold on the PS3 Madden 10 soundtrack: "Can't C Me" by 2Pac, "Heads are Gonna Roll" by Airbourne, "Them Bones" by Alice in Chains, "Created a Monster" by B.o.B, "Revolution" by Bang Camaro, "Sabotage" by Beastie Boys, "Paranoid" by Black Sabbath, "Get 'Em Up" by Cypress Hill, "Unsung" by Helmet, "Aces High" by Iron Maiden, "Painkiller" by Judas Priest, "I Am the Bullgod" by Kid Rock, "Reckoning" by Killswitch Engage, "Blind" by Korn, "Divinations" by Mastodon, "Hate Me Now" by Nas featuring Puff Daddy, "Breed" by Nirvana, "Walk" by Pantera, "Shut 'Em Down" by Public Enemy, "Guerrilla Radio" by Rage Against the Machine, "Gaia Bleeds (Make Way for Man)" by Set Your Goals, "Duality" by Slipknot, "Sugar" by System of a Down, "Before I Die" by The Vanity Plan," and "Cheah Beah" by Young Dre The Truth. If all those features and upgrades haven't convinced you that PS3 Madden 10 is a masterpiece, then perhaps a trip through the sports video game timeline will. Maybe it's an obtuse comparison, lavishing platitudes on PS3 Madden 10, just because it blows every past video football game out of the water. But when you look at the old versus the new, you can truly appreciate the epic nature of PS3 Madden 10. Obviously, football video games were on every gamer's wish list when the first console games were out there. The downside was, the gaming technology wasn't quite up to speed yet, so video football fanatics had to settle, in a big way. "All the excitement" of the real thing, the game publishers crowed back then. Competition was nonexistent, so this one was a huge hit for the biggest video game console in the day. The football players look like blocky little robots. Let's get that out of the way. As crude-looking as that picture is, it's even worse when you see the game in action. Put too many characters on screen at once with these older games, and every character started flashing and flickering. There's just no way to try an explain how lousy the sound was. Things were so limited that a scrolling screen was out of the question. Within a couple years, things would pick up slightly, with a competing console developing a football video game. This next one was a valiant attempt to make a more realistic football video game. Better, but not great.

Yes, people were pretty stoked to see some improvements, but this wasn't the sports video game to put sports video games on top. More time would pass in order for that to transpire. This next one, coming out for the next generation of game consoles at the end of the 80s, was a sensation, and still beloved today. For a long time, it was the gold standard by which football video games were held.

Not hard to understand why that caught on - they were the first to really bring a more comprehensive simulation of football to the video game console. Football video games went to the next level with that one, due to the much needed upgrades. It's even got a presence in the gaming world today, thanks to its online comeback. That being said, PS3 Madden 10 still blows it away. Take a look at it, after taking in all of those older games. As you can see, football video games have evolved exponentially since their first appearance. No need to keep bagging on the old stuff. You get it. Those games did what needed to be done, and we have them to thank, indirectly, for PS3 Madden 10. Gamers are happy, and with good cause - PS3 Madden 10 really kicked this one through the goal posts. But it's not just the hardcore gamers that are loving this one - the critics have weighed in, and they give it the thumbs up. Reviews for PS3 Madden 10 are filled with praise such as "realistic and enjoyable." Once again, EA Sports makes a win with PS3 Madden 10 - was there any doubt?

Don't listen to the naysayers and the contrarians - there are few games as great as PS3 Madden 10. Sure, we love all PlayStation sports video games, but PS3 Madden 10 stands at the top, as one of the best. Hardcore gamers hold this one in the highest of regard. Along with its major popularity, this is also where you get to battle for bucks. PlayStation Madden 10 maniacs have the opportunity to challenge each other for some serious cash. The victory - and your opponent's cash - will be in your hands, once you know the score in PS3 Madden 10.
